Project of an arrangement for the detection of neutrino radiation from collapsing stars
Description
A scintillation counter containing 100 tons of liquid scintillator is mounted in a salt mine at a depth of about 700 m.w.e. The scintillator of this counter will be viewed by 128 photomultiplayers with 15 cm diameter of photocathode. The collapse of a star in the center of our galaxy can be detected if neutrino radiation energy is about 1052 ergs
