Physicochemical processes during solid-phase synthesis of strontium titanate

  • 1. Vsesoyuznyj Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Monokristallov, (USSR)

Description

Strontium carbonate soid-phase reaction with titanium dioxide in the powder mixtures (900-1300 deg C) and when modelling the process on the plane interface is investigated using thermal, X-ray phase analyses and by measuring specific surface and granulometric composition. Direction of the reaction diffusion flow as well as factors effecting stontium titanate granulometric composition are determined. Solid-phase synthesis product is shown to ''inherit'' the ''covered'' component particle sizes
