A neutron dosimeter using cellulose nitrate film

Description

A neutron dosimeter using cellulose nitrate film coated on both sides with lithium tetraborate (Kodak CA 80-15 type B film) has been prepared for the sureillance of personnel exposed to thermal and epithermal neutron doses. A calibration of the track density in the film versus absolute thermal and epithermal neutron fluences has been obtained. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Zur Ueberwachung von Personen, die thermischen und epithermischen Neutronendosen ausgesetzt sind, wurde ein Neutronendosimeter mit beidseitig mit Lithiumtetraborat beschichtetem Cellulosenitratfilm (Kodak CA 80-15 Typ B) entwickelt. Eine Kalibrierung der Spurendichte im Film als Funktion der absoluten thermischen und epithermischen Neutronenfluenz wurde durchgefuehrt. (orig.)
