Physical scales and neutrino masses in Grand Unified Theories
Description
The determination of neutrino masses in Grand Unification is intimately related to the unification constraints on the symmetry breaking scale. We discuss some well-known but often overlooked problems of precise determination of the relevant scales. This has a strong impact on proton lifetime, but fortunately the computation of neutrino masses, at least when they are hierarchical, is free from these problems
