Mechanism of void formation of iron and iron-alloys irradiated by electrons

  • 1. Kyushu Univ., Fukuoka (Japan). Research Inst. for Applied Mechanics

Description

Analyses of void nucleation and growth in high-purity iron (RRR sub(H) 3500) and iron alloys (Ti, Si and He) have been performed mainly for the results obtained from the electron irradiation in a high voltage electron microscope using a low vacancy migration energy (0.8 eV) in iron. (author)
