[O II] and [S II] as a determinant of reddening and electron density

Creators

  • 1. Anglo-Australian Observatory, Epping (Australia)

Description

It is shown that from the transauroral to nebular line ratios of [O II] and [S II], the electron density and reddening can be derived. This is of value for nebulae in which the electron density exceeds 103 cm-3. (author)
