Inorganic ion exchangers in radiochemical analysis of low active waste waters of NPP

Description
The methods of complex radiochemical analysis of low active waste waters of NPP with using of inorganic ion exchangers is elaborated. The method is based on continuous extraction of radionuclides in dynamic conditions on the system of sequentially placed sorbents: tree component sorbent-collector for total concentration of gamma radionuclides (chromium-51, manganese-54, iron-59, cobalt-58,60, copper-64, zinc-65, zirconium-95, niobium-95,ruthenium-103,106, silber-110, antimony-124,125, iodine-131, cerium-141,144) and sorbent for selective extraction of beta isotopes of strontium-89,90. The component selection for sorbent-collector was based on the analysis of chemical properties of controlled radionuclides and therefore the sorption properties of iron, tin, and zink sulphides in static and dynamic conditions were studied. It was defined that iron sulphides have the best sorption properties.
