The triton binding energy and the D-state percentage of the deuteron
Description
Strong suppression of the deuteron and ''singlet deuteron'' wave functions at short distances is inconsistent with the experimental values of the triton binding energy and doublet scattering length even for low values of Psub(D) approximately equal to 4.5%, if the nucleon-nucleon interaction is energy independent. Fixing Psub(D) and the 1Ssub(O) interaction still allows a variation of about 0.5MeV in the triton binding energy
