Description

The arguments put forward are: data from risk studies concerning the frequency of occurrence of core meltdown in LWR type reactors, the frequency of containment failures and resulting off-site emissions, in-plant accident management, and the hazard of hydrogen explosions. Yet unresolved problems are stated to be: the presentation of results of the German Risk Study (part DRS-B), the way accident management is dealt with, the evaluation standards applied to safety deficits, the hydrogen problem, the biological effects of low-dose radiation, the qualification of radwaste repositories, the information policy of public authorities, and the regime of governmental control and supervision. Abstract (German)

Als Argumente werden vorgetragen: Kernschmelzhaeufigkeit fuer LWR, Haeufigkeit fuer fruehes Containmentversagen und Freisetzungsanteile dabei, Unfallfolgen nach einem Kernschmelzunfall, anlageninterne Notfallmassnahmen und Problematik von Wasserstoffexplosionen. Als ungeloeste Probleme werden dargestellt: Darstellung der Ergebnisse der Deutschen Risikostudie (DRS-B), Umgang mit Accident-Management-Massnahmen, Bewertungsmassstaebe fuer Sicherheitsdefizite, Wasserstoffproblem, Wirkung niedriger Strahlendosen, Eignung von Endlagern, Information durch Behoerden sowie staatliche Kontrolle und Aufsicht.
