On the fracture type of infiltration uranium deposits

Description

Infiltration uranium Neogen-Quaternary deposit of the joint type in foundation magmatic rocks has been investigated. Acid magmatic rocks breaked both by regional breakings and a system of open small joints mainly participate in the rock field construction and terrace bench region. Industrial mineralization represented by uranium blacks is a blind one. The upper boundary of mineralization coincides with the ground water level and the lower boundary falls 200-250 meters lower than this level and is determined by the presence of deoxidizers (greisen sulfides). Uranium-bearing regions are characterized by the presence of small gamma anomalies connected with sorbed uranium. Although these anomalies are pinched out at a depth of several meters, the anomalies point to the presence (lower than an ore-free zone and ground water level) of blind industrial unanium-ore bodies
