High-spin states and band structure in 76Br

Description
High-spin states of 76Br have been investigated through observations of γ rays produced in the 66Zn(12C,pn) reaction by bombarding an enriched 66Zn target with 38.0-MeV 12C ions. Measurements were made of γ-ray singles and γ-γ coincidence spectra, γ-ray angular distributions, and γ-ray linear polarizations. Level energies, decay modes, spins and parities, γ-ray branching ratios, and γ-ray radiative admixtures were deduced. There is evidence for a strongly excited ΔJ = 1 quasirotational band
