Study of calcium metabolism in thyroid disorders by means of Ca47: Results

Groups of normal individuals and hyperthyroid, hypothyroid, hypoparathyroid and osteoporetic patients were studied with intravenously injected calcium-47. The size of the exchangeable calcium pool, the accretion rate and the excretion rates in urine and faeces were determined. The paper describes and discusses the results obtained. 2 tabs
