Description

The paper approaches the optimization of some nuclear power integrated systems, defined as fast-thermal coupled systems and devoted to energy production. The thermal nuclear reactor type is represented by PHWR's and PWR's while the fast nuclear reactor type is represented by LMFBR's (PuO2), LMFBR's (CPu), or GCFBR's (PuO2). These reactor types which represent three succesive generation of fast reactors are integrated in nuclear power system with a variable time delay. The global systems which have imbedded the three FBR's are optimized from two points of view: the simultaneous maximization of annual energy and the minimization of annual energy specific cost price; the simultaneous maximization of annual energy and the minimization of natural Uranium fuel consumption. The decision variables are the development periods of the system and the optimization mathematical model used is a bimatrix game model without side payments. (author)
