Cladding tube for nuclear fuel
Description
In a cladding tube comprising zircaloy, iron content in the vicinity of an upper end face of a cladding tube to be welded with an upper plug and in the vicinity of a lower end face of the cladding tube to be welded with a lower end plug is increased at least by about 10% compared with the iron content in other portions. Since reduction of the iron content at weld portions of the cladding tube due to welding of the upper end plug and the lower end plug can be suppressed by increasing the iron content previously, corrosion resistance of the cladding tube can be improved, thereby enabling to prolong a life time of a fuel rod.
