Monte Carlo calculations on the first criticality of the multipurpose reactor G.A. Siwabessy

Description
Monte Carlo first criticality calculations have been conducted on the first core of the Indonesian 30 MWth multipurpose reactor G.A. Siwabessy. A vectorized, continuous energy Monte Carlo code developed by JAERI was used for the whole analysis and calculations, while the results were then compared to the experiment data collected during the first core reactor physics experiments. Monte Carlo calculations produced keff values with excellent agreement with experiment with experiment data. (author)
