Description

This device of photodetection and photon event (and noticeably scintillations) localization comprises at least a photomultiplier tube with unique photomultiplying structure and in front of this tube, a net of juxtaposed conduction metal wires excited by voltage pulses. This net comprises only 2n metallic wires to assure the localization of 2sup(2n) possible positions, and that is one of its characteristics

Dispositif de photodetection et de localisation d'evenements photoniques et notamment de scintillations, comprenant au moins un tube photomultiplicateur a structure photomultiplicatrice unique et, devant la photocathode de ce tube, un reseau de fils metalliques conducteurs juxtaposes excites au moyen d'impulsions de tension pour realiser la detection et la localisation de la position des evenements photoniques, caracterise en ce que, pour assurer la localisation de 2sup(2n) positions possibles de ces evenements, ledit reseau comprend seulement 2n fils metalliques et 2n-1 lignes a retard reliees respectivement a 2n-1 de ces fils, ce reseau pouvant etre avantageusement dispose en une seule nappe
