Nuclear power plant and its operation
Description
Purpose: To suppress the dose rate increase in a turbine system accompanying the injection of hydrogen from a feedwater system. Method: Hydrogen injection means such as a hydrogen gas cylinder is disposed at the midway of a condensate pipeway from the exit of a condensator to the inlet of a condensate desalter, and a combiner for combining dissolved hydrogen and dissolved nitrogen in the condensates to produce ammonia is disposed at the midway of the condensate pipeway from the hydrogen injection means to the inlet of the condensate desalter. Nitrogen leaked to the inside of the condensator is forcively brought into reaction with hydrogen injected to the combiner disposed upstream of the condensate desalter converted into ammonium ions.
