An l-independent representation of a Majorana potential
Description
The local and l-independent potential which is S-matrix equivalent to the parity dependent potential of Michel and Reidemeister for α scattering from 20Ne has been determined by inversion. The two potentials which fit elastic scattering produce radically different wavefunctions where the nuclei overlap. Phenomenological consequences are discussed. (orig.)
