Production of scandium compounds in a complex processing of various ores
Description
Scandium applications and technologies of its recovery from waste of titanium, vanadium and alumina processes are considered in brief. It is pointed out that currently in Russia there are actually unlimited resources of scandium and efficient technology of its recovery is available. Methods of solvent extraction, gas hydrofluorination and metallothermal reduction used in industry permit producing diverse scandium compounds (oxide, fluoride) and metal, its purity 99.99%, in great amounts and at reasonable cost

Кратко рассмотрены области применения скандия и технологии его извлечения из отходов титанового, ванадиевого и глиноземного производств. Отмечено, что в настоящее время в России имеются практически неограниченные запасы скандия и эффективная технология его извлечения. Применяемые в промышленности методы жидкостной экстракции, газового гидрофторирования и металлотермического восстановления позволяют получать различные соединения скандия (оксид, фторид) и металл с чистотой 99.99% в больших количествах и по доступной ценеAdditional details
