Description

Regarding the education of radiological technologists in charge of radiotherapy, mainly the required abilities and the content of guidance at the treatment site are explained. Regarding the technical matters, the principle of the radiation generator, the handling of the radiation measuring instrument and its measurement method, etc. were described. The author explained the curriculum and the rules for designating radiologist training centers. He also touched on the safety management system for medical radiation and medical student education by technicians. Radiological technologists perform image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) to determine and correct the appropriate irradiation site. Not only the judgment of organs, but also the influence of urine volume and gas, etc. should be taken into consideration when deciding whether or not to treat. This is part of the interpretation aid and later should be approved by a doctor. The act of asking a doctor for a plan or irradiation instruction in radiation therapy is not included in the Radiology Technicians Act. Even if there is no legal basis, the radiologist makes a question inquiry for the patient. (S.S.)
