Niobium acetamidates and oximates

Description

Niobium oxotrichloride interaction with acetoxime and acetamide has been studied. Interaction of oxytrichloride with acetoxime proceeds depending on the ratio of initial components with the formation of molecular compound NbOCl32L' or substitution products of deprotonated acetoxime of the composition NbOCl2L2L' and NbOCl2LL', where L=(CH3)2C=NO-, L'=(CH3)2C=NOH, for one or two chlorine atoms. Unlike acetoxime, acetamide forms with niobium oxytrichloride only moleculear compounds NbOCl3n (CH3CONH2)(n=2.5-7). Ir spectra testify to acetoxime coordination to niobium atom via nitrogen atom, and to acetamide-coordination via oxygen atom. The values of molar electric conductivity, measured in alcoholic solutions, are explained mainly by the presence of protons, appearing as a result of alcoholysis of niobium oximates and acetamidates
