Preparation of high water-swelling agricultural starch hydrogels by 60Co γ-radiation grafting

Description
The starch grafted acrylic acid was used to synthesize water-swelling hydrogels by 60Co γ-radiation grafting technique. With radiation dose of about 7 kGy, the crosslinking reagent amount of 0.001%-0.1%, the pH value 5-8 and the starch amount of 10%-30%, we can produce 600 times water-swelling hydrogels which are of high performance, low cost and suitable for agriculture
