Safety problems of NPP in shutdown condition
Description
NPP operation experience feedback and probabilistic safety analysis have shown that NPPs in shutdown conditions have a great potential risk of the core meltdown. This paper describes the NPP operation experience feedback, results of probabilistic safety analysis and accident analysis, relative measurements and research, especially concerned with uncontrolled dilution accidents in shutdown conditions and loss of RHRS (Residual Heat Removal System) functions in cold shutdown condition
