Two-components UV-therapy

Description

20 patients with generalized psoriasis were treated with an apparatus containing UV-A- and UV-B-fluorescence tubes to be switched separately. The therapy was started with an UV-A-dose of 12 J/cm2 daily. After the first week of treatment UV-B in increasing doses was applicated additionally. Clearance was achieved in 80 percent. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

20 Patienten mit ausgedehnter Psoriasis wurden in einer Standkabine mit separat schaltbaren UV-A- und UV-B-Fluoreszenzroehren behandelt. Die Therapie wurde eingeleitet mit einer konstanten UV-A-Dosis von 12 J/cm2 taeglich; ab der zweiten Behandlungswoche wurde zusaetzlich mit UV-B in ansteigender Dosierung bestrahlt. Der Therapieerfolg betrug 80 Prozent. (orig.)
