The problem of reprocessing and of radioactive wastes in France

Advantages and disadvantages of reprocessing or not are compared. Long term problems concerning reprocessing wastes are examined. Owing to reprocessing wastes are without plutonium. French policy and studies concerning storage of the different kind of radioactive wastes are given, high level wastes are vitrified before storage

Abstract (French)

Apres avoir compare les avantages et les inconvenients du retraitement ou du non-retraitement, on examine les problemes a long terme lies aux dechets du retraitement. Le retraitement presente l'avantage de fournir des dechets sans plutonium. On expose la politique de la France et les etudes menees en matiere de stockage des differentes categories de dechets, les dechets de haute activite sont stockes en profondeur apres vitrification
