90Sr induced dominant lethal mutations in mouse spermatogonia

  • 1. Osmania Univ., Hyderabad (India). Dept. of Genetics

Description

Genetic damage by 90Sr in mouse spermatogonia was measured at doses ranging from 0.5 to 25 μCi using dominant lethals as criterion. No appreciable increase in dominant lethals was noticed with 0.5 and 2 μCi. The post-implantation and total loss showed an increase with increasing dose and this loss was found to be statistically significant only with 5, 10 and 25 μCi. Although the pre-implantation loss showed an increasing trend with 90Sr doses, it was not significant at any dose level. (author)
