Description
The continuous condensation of saturated vapour is regarded to be responsible for the deformations of the surface protective coating of the localization towers at the Paks Nuclear Power Plant. The coating was made of DUROTUF STR delivered by Reichhold Chemie, Vienna. Microbiological composition of the coatings, of boric acid solution in the bubbling trays and of the air in the air traps of the towers were analyzed. Measures to prevent the towers from fungicidal infections were taken. (V.N.)
