Description
Within the framework of a revisit to the linear Standard Enskog Theory, the kinetic theory for a binary mixture of rigid spheres is proved to be consistent with linear irreversible thermodynamics in terms of the thermodynamic forces and fluxes derived from the kinetic definition of the entropy production. A straightforward calculation of the Onsager coefficients is presented. (Author)
