Description
Effect of conditions for crystallization of solid solutions on the basis of YAl-, NdAl-, and GdAl-borates on the distribution of rare earth elements between the boron molybdate solution-melt and the solid phase is studied. It is shown that the gadolinium distribution coefficient is close to 1, while for neodymium it constitutes 0.3-0.8, depending on the growth conditions. The neodymium content in solid solutions increases with increase in temperature and decrease in crystallization rate
