Properties of Platinum deposited on the Na0.7WO3(100) single crystal surface
Description
The properties of Platinum deposited on the Na0.7WO3(100) surface were studied by Auger Electron Spectroscopy, Low Energy Electron Diffraction and Thermal Desorption Spectroscopy. The Platinum film grows on the surface by the layer mechanism. Annealing at temperatures of the order of 600 K or higher causes the reduction or almost complete disapparence of the AES Pt signal from the surface and also the almost complete suppression of the adsorption of Carbon monoxide. To explain these effects, the available data appear to support a model where interdiffusion of deposit and the substrate takes place upon annealing
