Description

Radiation hygiene factors are surveyed for the operation of a WWER type reactor power plant. General principles and health protection measures valid for the V-1 nuclear power plant are presented and the existing hygienic performance is summarized. The values are shown of gamma dose rates, surface contamination and the volume activity of aerosols in the controlled area, and the absorbed dose of staff between the physical start-up of the reactor and 30 November 1979 as well as the radioactivity values of emissions from the V-1 power plant in 1979 are reviewed.
