Fort St. Vrain experience: first refueling/maintenance outage. Final report

Description

The overall objective of this research project was to observe critical portions of the first refueling/maintenance outage at the Fort St. Vrain HTGR and to document those significant experiences during the outage as they relate to gas-cooled reactor plants which may be designed, built, and operated in the future. The purpose of this work was to provide insights from the experiences during this first refueling at a commercial-sized HTGR which may be valuable in the design and operation of future plants using similar technology
