Optical properties of thin polyimide films implanted by B"+ and Ag"+ ions

Description

Reflection and extinction of thin (40 µm) polyimide films implanted by B+ and Ag+ ions in the fluence range 1016÷1,5x1017 cm-2 at ion current density 4 µA/cm"2 in the wave length range 200÷1100 nm have been investigated. It was shown that for B+ implanted samples reflection and extinction does not depend on exposed side because of buried carbonized layer formation. In the contrary for Ag+ implanted samples extinction for exposed non-implanted side is higher due to formation near surface silver containing layer. (authors)
