Description

The experimental arrangement and the technique for measuring resistivity of lithium and indium by the eddy current decay method are studied. The measurement is made by noting the rate of decay of the magnetic flux from a cylindrical specimen situated in an external magnetic field that has rapidly reduced to zero. The measured resistivities are (8.87 +- 0.40) x 10-6 ohm-cm for indium and (9.30 +- 0.42) x 10-6 ohm-cm for lithium. (author)
