Description
α particles from the 60,62,64Ni(p,α) reactions were analyzed with the Notre Dame modified 100 cm broad-range magnetic spectrograph. Data were taken at bombarding energies of 13 to 16 MeV and at observations angles of 16 to 140degree. Approximately 125 new levels were observed and uncertainties in excitation energies average 1.3 keV. Systematics of the (p,α) reaction on the cobalt isotopes have been used to discuss spin assignments to several states in 61Co. Level densities and energy spacings are calculated for all the cobalt isotopes from A=55 to A=61
