An outline report on public offering type research on the nuclear fuel cycle in fiscal year 2000

The Japan Nuclear Cycle Development Institute (JNC) began a 'Promotion system on public offering type research on the nuclear fuel cycle' since fiscal year of 1999, to intend to promote the research cooperation with universities and institutes. This system publicly collects some widely visionary, creative, basic and substrative research themes using facility and apparatus belonged to JNC in principle from researchers in the universities and the institutes, on R and D at the field of nuclear fuel cycle plugged along by JNC, and aims to effectively promote the basic and substrative R and Ds by plugging along the research for applicants and intending to activate researching environment of JNC through intercourse, information exchange, publication of results, and so on between researchers of JNC and outer organizations. This report contains 20 researching results of the public offering type researches carried out on fiscal year of 2000. They consists of six researches on reactor, seven researches on nuclear fuel cycle, and seven researches on environmental technologies. (G.K.)
