Description

In its first part, this publication reports a visit of sites belonging to the coal-mining area of northern France with contributions proposed by local actors to recall the evolution and actions since their industrial end and their renovation projects. It also reports reactions from visitors coming from similar sites of European countries, and the content of a short debate. Then, after introducing speeches to this colloquium, the content of round tables is reported. These round tables addressed various issues and gathered representatives of different exemplary European regions: post-oil agriculture and landscapes (cultural and agricultural renewal in Catalonia, suburbs of Milan, plot re-composition in France, objective of food autonomy in the French coal-mining area), post-oil energy and landscapes (choices of energy transition inspired by landscapes in Switzerland, mobilisation of all local resources for a better energy autonomy in Luxembourg, landscape planning for an energy autonomy in France, prospective on energy transition in northern France), and post-oil urban planning and landscapes (valorisation of built heritage in Belgium, an architectural revolution for all transitions in Austria, stronger relationships between health, planning and urban planning in France, heritage, landscape and citizen dimensions of a local project in France). Each experiment is presented and commented. A last session proposed contributions of national actors and a debate.
