Treatment of human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) bearing nude mice with 131I-labeled HCC monoclonal antibody
Description
Treatment of human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) xenografts if nude mice has been studied by 131I-labelled monoclonal antibody hepama-1 against HCC cell line Bel-7402 131I-Hepama-1 (18 MBq/mice, i.p.) was found to inhibit 70.5% tumor growth in 4 weeks post injection as compared with the control groups. A dose of 14.8 MBq/mice was given 3 days after tumor transplantation 99.5% tumor growth was inhibited, but only 48.4% in 21 days after transplantation. The median survival time in 131I-Hepama-1 group were much longer than that 131I-IgG group and nontreated group (71 days, 28.3 days and 27.5 days respectively). No toxic effects were found
