The purpose of biomedical research involving human volunteers is to improve diagnostic, therapeutic and prophylactic procedures and the understanding of etiology and pathogenesis of diseases. Regulatory and safety aspects are to be observed according to the guidelines mentioned in ICRP-62 if use of unsealed radionuclides on human volunteers are involved
