Giant dipole resonance built on the ground and the first state of 31P

Description
Excitation functions for the 31Si(p,γ0) and (p,γ1) reactions from 5 to 27 MeV are compared with DSD (direct--semidirect) theory results. It is found that the use of the weak-coupling approximation for this problem is incorrect. 1 figure
