Description

In Japan, the symptom based emergency procedure guideline (EPG) was developed by the Japanese BWR group of six utilities and two vendors in addition to the former event based procedure. The Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) for each plant was developed based on Japanese EPG by each utility until 1988. Since the support system is supposed to be effective in the usage of the EPG, the support system for EPG bas been developed. This EPG support system is intended to prevent mis-operation and mis-judgment and to maintain the plant safety by supporting the operation in accordance with symptom based EPG. This system displays timely the operational guide and plant information with computer system in the condition of the operation in accordance with symptom based EPG, so operators do not need to open and read EOP manual. Based on the training scenario of reactor control and PCV control guidelines, the computer aided support system of EPC is studied
