Description
We present a theory of third harmonic generation with XUV radiation through a double resonance, and examine the possibilities of enhancing the conversion efficiency by an additional laser field. We apply the theory to He where a photon of 21.22 eV leads to a one-photon resonance with the bound state |1s2p>, and a three-photon resonance with the autoionizing state |2p3s>. (Author)
