Description
The samples of plutonium and transplutonium nuclides were sparated and purified from the spent fuel elements. Two kinds of sources were prepared for radioactivity measurement. The source of plutonium was electrodeposited on stainless steel. The source of transplutonium nuclides was droped on VYNS film. Relative contents and absolute contents of the plutonium and transplutonium nuclides were measured by using a Si(Au)aplpha spectrometer and a grid ionization chamber. The plutonium content measured is consistent with that using coulometric titration method. The variation of contents of plutonium and transplutonium nuclides in spent fuel element is consistent with that of burn up of fuel elements. The uncertainty of measurement of their contents is ≤±1.5%
