Medical applications of radioactivity
Description
Medical applications of radioactivity were considered a few time after its discovery but it is during about the last 50 years that radioactivity has entered the set of diagnostic and therapeutic medical techniques. Applications concern the imaging techniques, the radiopharmaceuticals, the radio-immunology and the radiotherapy. This digest paper gives an overview of all these applications with their historical aspects. (J.S.)
