Description

Pengrowth Gas Income Fund is a closed-end trust established to earn petroleum and natural gas royalty income through the purchase of Pengrowth Gas Corporation royalty units. During 1993, Pengrowth's major properties were a 3.4585% interest in the Dunvegan Gas Unit No. 1, a 3.5358% interest in the Nipisi Gilwood Unit No. 1, a 26.7861% interest in the Harmattan East Viking Unit No. 1, a 7.544% gross overriding royalty on the Olds Gas Unit No. 1, a 13.0275% interest in the Bullmoose Gas Unit No. 1, and a 2.4799% interest in the Leduc Woodbend D-3 Unit. All these properties except the Bullmoose Unit (British Columbia) are located in Alberta. As of January 1, 1994, the company had established oil, gas, and liquids reserves of 8.1 million bbl of oil equivalent with a present worth of $58 million. Daily production in 1993 averaged 3.93 million ft3 of natural gas, 155 bbl of natural gas liquids, and 651 bbl of crude oil. Corresponding figures for 1992 were 2.67 million ft3/d, 115 bbl/d, and 206 bbl/d. Financial and operational information are provided, as well as descriptions of the properties. 14 figs., 12 tabs
