RADIATIVE PENGUIN DECAYS FROM BABAR

Description

Electroweak penguin decays provide a promising hunting ground for Physics beyond the Standard Model (SM). The decay B → Xsγ, which proceeds through an electromagnetic penguin loop, already provides stringent constraints on the supersymmetric (SUSY) parameter space. The present data samples of ∼1 x 108 B(bar B) events allow to explore radiative penguin decays with branching fractions of the order of 10-6 or less. In this brief report they discuss a study of B → K*(ell)+(ell)- decay modes and a search for B → ρ(ω)γ decays
