Software maintenance techniques for nuclear power plant simulation software

Creators

  • 1. Northern States Power Co., Welch, MN (United States)

Description

There are some very talented people developing simulation software for nuclear power plant simulators. However, the author has observed that, in the implementation and maintenance of these models, the actual simulator performance is much poorer than the capabilities of the original model. Frequently, this is caused by poor simulation software maintenance techniques. This paper attempts to identify the highlights of good software maintenance techniques and how they apply to nuclear power plant simulation software maintenance
