Radiative corrections to charged-current deep inelastic scattering at HERA
Description
The complete O(α) electromagnetic and weak radiative corrections for the differential cross section d2σ/dxdy of the charged-current deep inelastic lepton-proton scattering at HERA are calculated. A Monte Carlo integration technique for the evaluation of the single photon bremsstrahlung contribution is explained. We derive formulas that are relevant for the exponentiation of soft photonic corrections and show numerical results. Those differences in the predictions are discussed that arise when either MW or the μ decay constant Gμ is used as input. In particular the top quark mass dependence of the NC/CC cross section ratio is investigated. (orig.)
