Modification of some physicochemical properties of high temperature superconducting yttrium ceramics by gold alloying

Description
Effect of gold addition (5 and 10 at.%) on the lattice parameters, high-temperature superconducting transition and diamagnetic susceptibility of the YBa2Cu3O7-δ high-temperature superconducting ceramics is studied. The effect of gold on kinetics of slightly bound oxygen by the ceramics heating in vacuum is also studied. It is shown that ceramics alloying with gold causes uniaxial expansion of the material lattice, essential decrease in the diamagnetic susceptibility, nonmonotonous change of kinetic parameters of oxygen separation by almost unchangeable temperature of superconducting transition
