On limit ratio in method of inversion voltametry with mercury-graphite electrode

  • 1. Kazakhskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Alma-Ata (USSR)

Description

The behaviour of copper, cadmium and tin on the mercury-graphite electrode is investigated by the inversion voltametry method. It is established that cadmium oxidation takes place at the potential of 0.65 V; copper oxidation -at the 0.24 V; mercury - at the 0.0 V. To obtain a proportional relationship between the analytical signal and concentration in the inversion voltametry, it is proposed to use dependence of the determined metal concentration in the amalgam on its ion concentration in the solution as a graduated function. The above mentioned method permits analytical determination of metals
